InsightSite vs WordPress

WordPress builds a site from themes and plugins, and speed, security and languages are extra work. InsightSite puts the content admin, languages, SEO and AI search, shop, AI and security in one base on the global edge, so one codebase runs many sites.

Why InsightSite

One base that is a CMS, a SaaS framework and a shop

A complete admin, not a plugin stack

On WordPress, SEO, languages, caching, security and redirects usually mean one plugin each, and plugins clash. In InsightSite editing, scheduling, revisions, block pages and all of these are built in.

Real multilingual sites

Content stored per language, hreflang and per-language sitemaps generated, one-click AI translation into drafts. No plugin stack for international sites.

Payments at home and abroad

Stripe subscriptions, WeChat Pay and Alipay terms, credits, team seats; the shop adds shipping, points and invoices, affiliates and multiple stores.

Secure by default

Two-factor sign-in, device list, audit log, captcha, rate limits and CSP are in the framework, not in third-party security plugins.

Host it anywhere

Cloudflare edge, Baota, Docker, Chinese clouds or serverless; three databases share one codebase, so no platform lock-in.

Upgrade every site together

Sites extend the base as a Nuxt layer and override only what they customize; nuxtcms fleet upgrades them all with one command and rolls back failures.

Which one

Each has its strengths

InsightSite

Company sites, content sites, multilingual export sites, shops or SaaS that need an admin; payments inside and outside China; one team running several sites.

WordPress

A team that does not code, depends on a particular WordPress theme or plugin, or uses classic PHP hosting. Existing sites can move to InsightSite any time.

FAQ

About this comparison

WordPress has more plugins. Is InsightSite enough?

What a production site usually needs (SEO, languages, forms, caching, security, redirects, backups and migration) is built into InsightSite; shop, SaaS, AI, marketing and blog tools are official plugins. Sites can also override any page or API and add their own features.

I run WordPress today. Can I move?

Yes. Import the WordPress WXR export in the admin to bring posts, pages and categories over (images can be synced to R2 / OSS / COS), then 301 the old URLs in Redirects so rankings and inbound links carry over.

Without a PHP host, is the site harder to look after?

Easier. On Cloudflare pages render at the global edge: no server to patch, no PHP to upgrade, no attacks to fend off yourself; the shop, SaaS kit, AI and the rest are optional plugins that are not bundled unless added.

Something in the table is wrong?
